Job Description:
Our client has an opening for a solid Java User Interface Developer to assist in User Interface (UX) development for next generation Set-Top Boxes.
You will work in an R&D environment creating applications from scratch, developing enhancements to existing applications and developing prototypes. A majority of the time for this position will be spent in developing User Interfaces (UIs).
You will actively contribute to the definition, development, integration, test, documentation and support of custom Internet based software applications. This hands-on position requires in-depth technical knowledge of UX and Web application software development.
Skills:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Engineering or Computer Science
7+ years of software development experience
3+ years experience (current) developing Java User Interfaces (UIs UNIX/Linux background)
Experience with Any of the Following is a Plus:
Java
Swing
AWT
Experience developing Restful and/or SOA Web Services
Hands-on experience with MVC framework
Experience working with cable TV Set Top Boxes
Experience designing, building and supporting APIs for third party consumption.
Familiarity with Agile development.
Exceptional interpersonal communication skills: verbal, written and listening
