Job Description:
The Programmer is responsible for business analysis, design, coding, component and assembly testing of all application code, user acceptance test plan preparation, deployment, and maintenance of the code in production.
The Programmer is responsible for developing Web applications supporting the business objectives of the Development Services Agency. The Programmer delivers work products in all stages of the software development life cycle: business analysis, design, coding, component and assembly testing of all application code owned by the Application Team. Programmers typically are involved in user acceptance testing, maintenance (including production support), enhancement and development work. Programmers have a range of skills and knowledge of the technologies used and applications supported by the Application Team. The Programmer works with the Functional Architect and Technical Architecture Specialist on an as needed basis to ensure that design and code meets customer requirements.
Years of Relevant Experience: 10 plus yearsPreferred Education: 4 year college degree or equivalent technical study with advanced study preferred.

•Ability to make best practice recommendations based on past work.
•Proven ability to present complex technical constructs to business and non-technical users.
•Proven ability to collaborate with business users, project managers and technical architects.
Required / Desired Skills
- Programming in ASP.NET Framework 4.0, C#, using Microsoft Visual Studio Required 5 Years
- Building relational databases in SQL Server 2005/2008 R2 Required 5 Years
- Developing process flow diagrams and other documentation in Visio or Powerpoint Highly desired 2 Years
- Communicating with end users to gather requirements for new systems, present solution alternatives, and discuss progress Required 5 Years
- Preparing training materials and conducting end user training Highly desired 2 Years
- Preparing user acceptance test plans and scripts and overseeing user acceptance testing Required 5 Years
- Developing web-based reports on platforms including SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and/or other third-party tools. Required 5 Years
- Programming in Javascript Nice to have 2 Years
- Developing database and file integrations using SQL Server Integration Services Highly desired 2 Years.
