Skills:
* Knowledge of an ETL tool inner workings, appropriate design techniques to support restartability and high volume data load techniques
* Experience providing technical design review, development plan critique, code review, test plan/results review
* Strong understanding of relational database concepts, data modeling (dimensional/snowflake), SQL, query optimization, data warehouse architecture
* 6+ years experience with a major ETL tool (i.e. DataStage, Informatica) or open source tools. Talend ETL experience is preferred.
* 6+ years of Data Warehouse experience, specifically in the Data Integration and ETL Layer.
* 2+ years Linux/Unix scripting experience
* Experience with XML schemas and usage
* Experience with SVN or other version control frameworks
* Strong SQL Skills
* Excellent written and verbal communicate skills with both technical and non-technical staff
* Ability to work on multiple small projects simultaneously, multi-tasking and balancing work based on priority
* Ability to form durable, flexible work relationships
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
* Prior experience working in an ETL environment where customizations are made to a packaged set of load processes
* Experience operating within strict processes and controls for live production environments
* Experience with data quality/profiling methodologies/tools
* Specific experience with Netezza, MySQL, Vertica & Talend ETL
* Experience with Linux/Unix platform eCommerce, Retail, Supply Chain Management experience
* J2EE development experience
* Perl experience

Perform hands-on design, development and testing with an ETL tool Research and analyze various data source systems, applications and perform data research/analysis as required to meet client requirements Support ETL design, development and testing estimations based business requirements and research into data that is currently sourced. Performs table and interface design, supports the customization of data model structures with data modeler to ensure efficient loading processes Supports requirements definition and contributes to documentation of project and system documentation Reviewing designs, test plans and code to ensure high levels of performance, data quality, and maintainability.
