Summary: (QUALIFICATIONS)
• 8 years of proficiency and experience in a range of Hyperion products including Essbase, Hyperion Financial Management, Hyperion Planning, Integration Services, Smart view, DRM, FDM and Spreadsheet Add-In, in both Windows and UNIX environments.
• Expertise in architect tasks of Essbase: managing applications and databases, Essbase architecture, data and dimension loading, Calc Scripts, MaxL, MDX Querying, Report Scripting, Performance tuning, thorough understanding of Essbase data mining framework.
• Strong experience as a Hyperion Essbase Administrator with Security Setup and Management: User Management, User roles, Shared Services setup, assigning server and application access, database calculation, filtering, assignment of application access types.
• Proficiency as Essbase Administrator in maintaining Essbase, managing database settings, optimizations, thorough understanding of ASO and BSO cube architecture, Essbase Cache settings, optimizing calculations, attributes, storage security, optimizing reports.
• Experience in working through all phases of Software Development Life Cycle (SLDC) including the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of financial applications.
• Skilled in installations, upgrades, and configuration procedures in client/server environments.
• Thorough understanding of multidimensional and relational database architecture and their applications for effective planning, budgeting, strategizing and forecasting procedures.
• Expertise in building Financial Budgeting and Forecasting OLAP applications with Essbase.
• Expertise in building Relational Databases using SQL Server and Oracle and knowledge of Essbase server upgrades across NT and UNIX platforms.
• Skilled in Automation, Optimization and Performance Tuning of Essbase application data/metadata processing, upgrading, testing and migrating of cubes in different environment
Description :
Hyperion Admin is also the Hyperion Infrastructure Support team in SunTrust that provides 24/7 support on Hyperion Applications across the SunTrust EPMA domain. The team consists of 3 members (all are onsite support). Currently the team supports 8 businesses across SunTrust.
Responsibilities:
• Involved in high level trouble shooting of all the infrastructural activities related to Hyperion products (Hyperion Essbase, Planning, EAS, Reports, HPCM)
• Handled many outages (planned as well as unplanned) like reboot of all the servers which happens on every month.
• Handled migration of applications and data across different environments.
• Supported more than 5 applications in production both functionally and technically.
• Involved in setting up users, disk space, servers and prerequisites creations for new Installations.
• Involved on administration tasks such as Data Loading, Batch Jobs, Backup and Recovery.
• Support provided for EPM System running on Windows.
• Co-ordination with Site Services, DBAs and other teams as required in resolving Server, Hardware and application issues.
• Maintain Documentation for installation and troubleshooting procedures of the application.
• Created users and groups for access rights in applying security and authorization regulations.
• Maintained Scheduled & Developed batch scripts for weekly and month end process.
Environment: Hyperion Essbase 11.2.1, Hyperion Planning 11.2.1 Financial Reporting, Oracle 11g, Web Logic 9.2, Windows 2008.
