Its March 1st today and exactly in one month the USCIS would start accepting H-1B Visa Petitions. That is from 1st of April 2013. This Year, it is expected that the H-1B Visa Cap would fill in the first two weeks of April.

Gather documents

You need to submit  all the required documents to your employer to file H-1B petition on your behalf.  You need to get with your employer well ahead and make sure you got all the documents your company attorney wants to file your H-1B petition.

H-1B Visa 2014 Predictions

As per the predictions for this year, the H-1B visa cap is expected to finish in the first two weeks of April for the Fiscal Year 2014, once the USCIS starts accepting application from the 1st of April. Currently, there is a 65,000 H-1B visa cap each year, with an additional 20,000 visas dedicated for master’s category.
