The below graph represents the H-1B filing history versus unemployment rate. Unemployment rate affects significantly on H-1B filing. According to the analysis, H-1B filing reaches the cap quickly when the unemployment rate is low and in turn would take longer to reach the cap when the unemployment rate is high.
