Position: Java /J2EE Developer
Location: Irvine, CA
Duration: 12 months +
Responsibilities:
Spring-MVC and Hibernate experience
Automotive and Lead experience is a plus but not required
- Mostly backend development on their consumer web site for maintenance, enhancements and fixes
- Front end experience is a plus but not required
- The project is for their consumer web site (B2C) that has millions of users and drives most of the sales activity for Kia
- Prefers the B2C experience but will consider B2B if it is from internal company to outside business (example: insurance company app that pulls data from doctors)
- Must have great communication skills, both written for documenting process and verbal for team meetings to discuss strategy
- Ideal person is someone who has worked for a large consulting firm previously; has had success with their backgrounds because they are proactive and self-starters
- Skill Set: Java, J2EE, AJAX, JSP, XML, XSLT, JavaScript, HTML, JQuery, Hibernate, Spring MVC, PostgreSQL (Database), Unix and Windows environment
- Core area of knowledge will be design and development with Java and ability to connect the database to the site using Hibernate/Spring MVC for smooth data flow
- Agile/SCRUM environment with sprints that vary from 1 week to three months depending on the release complexity
- Must be able to integrate parts from front end development and connect it with the data that will populate on the site
- Team Lead will be responsible for the interviews and should be getting an introduction to him shortly
