Job Description:
Function as PeopleSoft Techno-Functional Consultant in support of commitment accounting work in the HCM area.
This role requires candidates to have excellent knowledge in HCM commitment accounting/HR and understand the dataflow with General Ledger in Finance. Be part of the technical team working on the HCM implementation of PeopleSoft.
This person will play an active key developer role in the design, development, and testing of Commitment accounting/HR (60% Technical and 40% Functional) within the HCM solution. knowledgable in other key functional area such as Payroll/GL Finance is a plus. This is for the implementation of PeopleSoft HCM 9.1,
Providing the following services:
Providing effort estimates for development teamwork.
Delivering effective solutions on time, within budget and in adherence to development and quality standards.
Complying with the system development life cycle (SDLC).
Completing the development process including development of technical specifications and modification documentation.
Facilitating appropriate knowledge transfer within the team and business offices.
Coaching, leading, and mentoring other team members.
The contractor is expected to work a 40 hour week Monday through Friday (8 Hours per day) or Monday through Thursday (10 hours per day). Local candidates should expect to work Monday through Friday.
A minimum of 7 years of experience with Oracle PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM is required, and preference is for candidates with at least 5 years of implementation experience with version 8.9 or greater. Candidate must have proven, higher level experience with Commitment accounting/HR/Finance in a Techno Functional Role - Strong knowledge of PeopleSoft HRMS data structures, configuration and setup designs, and business processes within the commitment accounting application is required. Experience with one or more PeopleSoft applications (Payroll/GL).
PeopleTools 8.5x or higher is required. Provide technical development leadership through full project life cycle from discovery of requirements through implementation and go live. Strong knowledge of the PeopleSoft Toolset: Application Designer, Application Engine, PeopleCode and SQR.
Strong SQL development skills with experience writing complex SQL routines; must have at least 5-7 years of SQL experience. This position may include working with PeopleSoft Query, Data Mover and File Layout. Selected candidate must have advanced PeopleSoft programming skills including experience in developing custom pages using various PeopleSoft provided tools and assigning security to custom built modules using Menus, Permission Lists, Roles and User Profiles. Integration knowledge between finance and HCM application in regards to Commitment accounting is a Big Plus.
Further experience implementing any of the other HCM modules is considered a big plus but not required.
