Job Description:

The candidate for Analytical Software Developer position must have a MS degree (from accredited US institutions or foreign institutions independently verified by certified boards) in engineering, computer sciences, mathematics, or other relevant sciences.; or must have a BS degree in the above relevance areas with at least 5 years working experience in the qualified fields and responsibilities. The candidate will be responsible for requirements gathering and analysis, design, development, testing and debugging of analytical, mathematical programming, optimization and decision support systems. Additionally, the candidate will work with a large amount of data from diverse, complex and frequently unrelated sources but be able to perform data analyses/mining, data cleansing and integration with little or no guidance. 

The candidate will be responsible for data modeling/data base design as well as front end application development. 

- Requirement gathering and analysis; Solution development. 
- Data acquisition, data ETL, data cleansing, data mining, data integration 
- Implement data modeling, mathematical, linear or optimization programming models 
- Oracle database design, database development, data structure indexing, database partitioning, database performance monitoring and tuning; database backup and replication 
- Develop Quality Controls on data mining, process management. 
- Decision support system design, system engineering, process flow design 
- Design and develop software (web based or otherwise) for decision support systems, optimization systems, planning systems or other data mining/modeling applications for mobility, network engineering or enterprise solutions 
- Writes code and completes programming and documentation using programming language and technology in Unix/Linus and/or web environment 
- Setup and manage document/file transfer/depository systems such as FTP, SSH, Sharepoint drive or other similar technologies 
- Performs testing and debugging of applications 
- Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, or Internet-related computer programs. 
- Project Management desired. 

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- 5+ Years of working experience with front-end development skills in HTML, DHTML, Core Java/J2EE, JavaScript, Ajax, CSS, Spring/Hibernate - Eclipse, JBuilder, JDeveloper, Apache, Tomcat 
- 5+ Years of working experience with Oracle SQL and PLSQL (Procedures/Functions/Performance Tuning) 
- 5+ Years of working experience UNIX/Linux environment with C, C++, Perl, Shell/Awk or Python languages 
- Working experience using SQL Navigator/TOAD, Oracle 9i/10G, for production-level projects 
- Strong in developing complex custom and ad-hoc reports using SQL/PLSQL 
- Good verbal and written communication skills, ability to interact with client user base 
- Independent and innovative thinking in problem solving, data quality controls, system design, data analyses and data modeling. Ability to quickly learn, analyze and integrate new data. 
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn, understand, analyze, synthesize and integrate new complex data sets. 

• Working knowledge of AT&T data warehouses (e.g., ADW, IBS, ITAMAC, LERT, BID, SCAMP, GSTool, Optima, CASPR, ATOLL, CFAS, Oracle Financials, ICORE, GBP, ECDW, GRANITE, etc.) 
• Working knowledge of organization’s specialized software development tools: RAPTOR, FUSION and Quantum 
• Working knowledge of organization’s specialized applications (e.g., BIPS, DataBank, CDR-P, NOVA FPA, NOVA EON, MOW-ART, iPlan, mForecast, mProfile, MAPGAP, etc.) Certifications
• Sun Java Certification, Oracle DBA Certification, Sun Certified Web Component Developer (SCWCD).
