Job Description:
As a Solution Architect, you will work as part of the Sales IT Applications team who are responsible for all IT Sales application deployments. In the Architect role, you will be responsible for architectural design, development and development of sustainable technical and application solutions to meet business requirements. Strong organizational skills, technical expertise and attention to detail are key to this customer focused role.
Job Responsibilities:
Strong customer interfacing skills - consulting/ advisory capability to understand the customer business paradigm and provide value added solutions
Align with the available offerings in SFDC and its marketplace and be able to position, articulate and establish excellent customer connect and convert into business development
Participate in business requirements elicitation, find out requirements both functional/non-functional, come up with a comprehensive requirement document
Evaluate and review Design Frameworks and Methodologies from SFDC best practices and gets approval design in order to achieve functional and non-functional requirements and conformance to the architecture
Provide high and low level design, use the best practices of the product, provide pseudo code, implements prototype, and deliver design document as per customer requirements
Guide the team in developing optimized code, make use of standards and checklists (configuration, customization), perform code deliverable reviews, unit test plan reviews, and conduct independent testing
Lead the team for integration/system/performance testing based on integration and system test plan, support UAT and make sure that defect free program / module release
Provide input for overall implementation, lead the same and participate in production support activities
Participate in knowledge transition, provide shadow support, prepare and review system appreciation document, understand application/infrastructure/system dependencies during transition
Participate in estimation and staffing analysis for preparing solution delivery of the proposal
Train team members on project processes and tailor if necessary, to achieve the highest level of quality
Ability to interact with technical and functional staff at all levels.
Build knowledge repository of project artefacts, share the same across projects, seek and leverage learning from other projects to drive higher efficiency and effectiveness
Skill and Experience Requirements:
Technical/Solution Architect with 8-12 years of total experience
including 3 to 4 years on SFDC with full understanding of Agile Scrum model and development methodologies
Excellent understanding of the following with hands on experience :
o SFDC CRM application (Sales and Service Cloud) capabilities and constraints
o Force.com development best practices
o SOSL and SOQL, Salesforce.coms Web Services and APIs, and the SalesForce Security model
o Apex Programming, VF pages, Triggers, Workflows, Page Layouts, Roles, Profiles, Reports & Dashboards
o Architecting and building solutions within the SalesForce Portal
o Integrating SFDC using Web Methods, Web services, SSO, Fusion Middleware
o SFDC Certified professionals preferred
Should have architected and designed 2 to 3 secure, high-performance technical solutions on the Force.com platform
Architected 2 or more successful custom Salesforce.com solutions spanning multiple platforms, including integration and authentication
Must be creative, innovative and be able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to abstract detail into larger patterns, familiarity with user-centered analysis and evaluation techniques.
Be an excellent team player with strong rapport with offshore team and delivery managers
