Summary:
We are seeking an Oracle Application Support Manager responsible for managing activities pertaining configuration, implementation and support of various applications and services (Oracle ERP,OBIEE, Hyperion EPM, Vertex, Ariba, JDA, CATS, AACG/GRCC, Moneta..).
This hands-on, technical management role has equal responsibility for managing the day-to-day activities of the applications team and providing technical expertise (aka "rolling up your sleeves")within the context of the IT Global Delivery Services group.
The function is centered on the continuous support, maintenance and enhancement of the current ERP system (Oracle Apps 11.5.10.2), and the build of the roadmap, strategy, and implementation for the upgrade to Release 12i.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Responsible for management of a team of Apps DBAs, core DBAs, application system admins.
· Responsible for overall financial, scope, and critical path management for assigned projects.
· Resolves project related or operational issues impacting IT or business.
· Defines service levels and service agreements.
· Establishes processes to identify, track, escalate, resolve, and report customer-related issues.
· Collaborates with stakeholders to define standards and measures for quality and customer satisfaction requirements.
· Assists with and prepares budget, forecast, and capital equipment reports.
· Coordinates systems analysis and applications development activities through indirect staff.
· Leads and directs team in the areas of scheduling, technology direction, future planning, and standard development practices.
· Participates in Oracle Projects, Oracle optimization Initiatives related to Information Technology operations, Business processes, Third Party Integrations and Master Data Management for the EBS Applications.
· Acts as a liaison between Business and IT departments by understanding and translating Business and IT terminology and communicating with various groups using both complex written and verbal communication skills.
· Facilitates System Integration and User Acceptance Testing as directed in accordance with SDLC procedures. Partners with the Business to ensure that testing scenarios and test scripts are thorough, accurate, and well-maintained as the environment changes. Includes Sox considerations in test plans.
Skills/Knowledge Required:
· Four-year degree preferred plus at least 10 yearIT experience with at least 8 Years of Oracle EBS Implementation and support experience.
· Proven ability to effectively drive change and lead a DBA team.
· Managed at least one major upgrade of an Oracle Applications environment.
· Functional understanding of Oracle Applications Financials, Supply Chain and HRMS (11i).
· Experience working in a distributed database environment.
· Advanced written and verbal communication skills including ability to develop presentations and present to management.
· Advanced problem solving and negotiation skills.
· Proven project management skills.
· Ability to meet deadlines.
· Leverages business and technical expertise across disciplines, demonstrating a high level of industry knowledge.
· 5-7 years User acceptance and testing in a Software development environment in a configuration or software development environment.
· Demonstrated understanding of Oracle concepts and general module functionality for financial accounting and reporting, inventory management, sales processing and purchasing.
